Marcos Mateu-Mestre, born in Palma de Mallorca, is a Vis Dev Artist at DreamWorks Animation, and was the layout artist: Lighting for The Road to El Dorado. He also works as a Visual Development, Storyboard and Graphic-novel Artist, and Illustrator.

Marcos was a Visual Development Artist at Sony Animation (2005-2007), Freelance Artist/Designer at A-Film, Copenhagen (2003-2004), Lanterna Magica, Torino (2002-2003), and Animagic Studios, Madrid (2001). He worked as Key Layout/Workbook Artist at DreamWorks Animation (1995-1999), working on two of their feature films, The Prince of Egypt and The Road to El Dorado. A Background Artist/Layout Artist at Amblimation (1991-1994), and an Artist, Illustrator for publicity and graphic novel work, and as an Art Teacher at his own Studio while still working as a Freelance for publicity and graphic novel work, from 1982-1991.
